  • Initiate and manage strategic projects throughout lifecycle: ideation, prepare business cases, compile stakeholder requirements, appoint and manage teams, allocate internal resources, define goals and KPIs, manage external relationships, facilitate necessary collaboration across diverse departments and markets, and make adjustments based on post-launch feedback.

  • Generate buy-in from assorted departments including the Executive Committee, Strategy & Planning, Marketing, Talent, Communications, Digital, and Technology functions.

  • Consult on International projects as Editorial Digital stakeholders

  • Editor Management - conduct quarterly strategic assessments of VOGUE, GLAMOUR, and GQ websites around the world to improve editorial quality, ensuring on-brand user experience. Coach contributing editors on suggestions and on going strategy.

  • Contributor Management – recruit rising street style photographers on behalf of all non-US editions of VOGUE, GLAMOUR, and GQ and negotiate favourable contracts leveraging the scale of the International editions.

  • CNINow - The first ever Condé Nast International intranet – connecting 6,000 employees and encouraging cross-border communication, inspiration, and education. Received special commendation from the Chairman for initiating this project.

    

STRATEGIC PRODUCT MANAGER, DIGITAL September 2011 – August 2013  

  • As the SPM I was responsible for optimising the quality, perception and success of CNI’s digital products and services.

  • Identified and shared best practice across the group via editorial reports, conferences, seminars, webinars, and public speaking engagements and internal and external conferences

  • Analysed traffic patterns to identify strengths in one market to maximise growth in other countries

  • Implemented product strategy, working closely with local management and the President

  • Led re-launch of www.CondeNastInternational.com

     

PROJECT ASSISTANT, DIGITAL  April 2010 – OCTOBER 2011      

  • Screened start-up companies requesting investment or partnership and provided analysis of any worthwhile businesses.

  • Organised biannual CNI Digital Managers Meeting, a two-day event attended by 15 CN Digital Directors from around the world; set agenda, organised venue space, travel, and all other details.

  • Briefed President on digital editorial quality.

  • Managed growing office, oversaw President’s complex calendar, performed a range of ad hoc projects to support the wider digital business .

  • Design. Fonts*, Coralie Bickford-Smith, Vogue Netherlands, KnockKnock cards

  • Interiors.  Ikea hacking, spray painting things, repurposing beat up furniture, mason jars, clever storage, Ray and Charles Eames, Michael Thonet

  • Crafts. Including but not limited to: embroidery, wood etching, procreate illustrating, letterpress, drawing, sewing, melting crayons with a hairdryer**

  • Baking. Babka, breads, brownies, cupcakes, anything on the Bisquick box

  • Victorian novels. William Thackery, George Elliot, Anthony Trollope, Thomas Hardy, Wilke Collins, Elizabeth Gaskell, Frances Hodgson Burnett, Edith Wharton, Charles Dickens, Booth Tarkington, and anything where I get to use my British accent in my head.
